About Manuel Ángel Redondo

Manuel Ángel Redondo Medina (born 23 December 1989 in Caracas) is a Venezuelan stand-up comedian, broadcaster, and communicator. He began his career in radio, spending more than a decade at the Venezuelan station La Mega, where he produced and hosted music programs such as "El Ruido" as well as variety and comedy shows including "Galanes de Radio." His comedic criticism of Venezuelan reality on air led the country's National Telecommunications Commission (CONATEL) to open sanction proceedings against the station, after which he shifted his focus toward comedy and independent projects.

Redondo transitioned into stand-up comedy, premiering his first solo show, "Empezando de Cero," in 2019 and touring theaters and venues across Latin America, Spain, the United States, and Europe. His comedy draws heavily on the Venezuelan experience, social reality, and reinvention after adversity. He has performed in Spanish-language shows at U.S. clubs including the Broadway Comedy Club in New York, and continues to tour internationally.

Alongside stand-up, Redondo created several media projects, including the political satire series "Pero Tenemos Patria" and the documentary "Viviendo al Mínimo," about surviving on Venezuela's minimum wage. From 2019 he hosted the popular YouTube interview show "Entregrados," in which guests were interviewed over drinks; the program ran for roughly four years before concluding. He has since resided in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
