Comedians born in Cold Lake

Cold Lake takes its name from the large, deep lake on whose shore it stands, in northeastern Alberta near the Saskatchewan border. The city is closely associated with a major Canadian air force base and lies within the oil-rich part of the province, while the lake itself draws anglers and boaters in season.

Comedy tours now reach beyond Alberta's big cities, and military and community venues help bring live entertainment to northern towns. The comedian Bonnie McFarlane is connected with Cold Lake.
