About Em Rusciano
Em Rusciano was born in Greensborough, Victoria, and first reached a national audience as a singer on the second season of Australian Idol, where she finished ninth. Radio then became her longest-running outlet. She spent four years on the 92.9 breakfast show in Perth before moving back to Melbourne, co-hosted Mamamia Today with Dave Thornton on the Today Network, fronted The Em Rusciano Show on Sunday nights for the Hit Network, and was one of the two hosts of the new 2Day FM breakfast show announced in 2017.
Her stand-up took her around Australia in 2016 with the show Em Rusciano Is Not a Diva, and she later released the special Rage and Rainbows. The same year as that tour she published a memoir, Try Hard: Tales from the Life of a Needy Overachiever, and with Michael Lucas she makes the podcast Emsolation.
Her television appearances include The Project, Studio 10 and Hughesy, We Have a Problem. In the third season of The Masked Singer Australia she performed as Dolly and finished runner-up.
