About Luke Kidgell
Kidgell has performed since 2015 and built his audience the way many comics of his generation did, by putting crowd work online. The exchanges with the room, rather than the written bits, are what travel: a short clip of a conversation with one audience member needs no context to be funny, and it carried him out of Australian rooms and onto stages abroad.
He releases full specials as well, on YouTube and on Amazon Prime, and co-hosts the comedy podcast B.L.T. His own site lists those specials and the podcast next to touring that reaches Japan, North America, the United Kingdom and Ireland, and the material gets to people through TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook before it gets to them through a ticket.
