About Bruna Louise
Bruna Louise de Castro e Castro (born 6 September 1984), professionally known as Bruna Louise, is a Brazilian comedian, content creator, television host, and actress. Noted as one of the early female performers in Brazil's stand-up comedy scene, she is currently among the country's most popular comedians. Graduated in performing arts in Rio de Janeiro, she began her career in theater performing in dramatic plays despite her interest in comedy, and started in stand-up comedy in 2010, joining and producing a group in Curitiba after a former boss claimed she had no talent for comedy.
In December 2014, Louise and fellow comedian Kefera Buchmann premiered the play Deixa Eu Te Contar at the Regina Vogue Theater in Curitiba, later embarking on a national tour attended by over 100,000 people. In 2015 she created her YouTube channel, Desbocada, and in 2016 launched her first stand-up tour named after the channel. In 2019 she recorded her first comedy special, Desbocada, at the Nosmenos Theater, and that same year was a guest on the Netflix stand-up series Lugar de Mulher alongside Micheli Machado, Cintia Rosini, and Carol Zoccoli.
On 22 June 2022, Bruna Louise: Demolicao was released, making Louise the first Brazilian woman to star in a solo stand-up special on the streaming platform. In 2022 she also launched the project Juntas, a series of comedy specials created to introduce other female comedians and strengthen the female presence in Brazilian stand-up. In 2023 she began her national and international tour Burnout, whose final session was released in February 2024 as her third comedy special, and in 2024 her tour Ela Ta Correndo Atras began. Her tour O Que Passa Na Cabeca Dela? premiered in March 2025.
