Comedians born in Brasília

Federal District, Brazil 🇧🇷

Brasília has served as Brazil's capital since 1960, built from scratch on the country's central plateau as a showcase of modernist planning. Urban planner Lúcio Costa laid the city out in the outline of an aeroplane, while architect Oscar Niemeyer designed its landmark government buildings, work recognised with UNESCO World Heritage status. Wide avenues and monumental architecture give the capital a distinctive look, and it houses the seat of government along with a large, well educated population.

That population supports a growing stand-up comedy scene across the city's theatres and clubs, home to comedians including Adriana Nunes and Bruna Louise.
