Felipe Ferreira

Felipe Ferreira is a Brazilian stand-up comedian and scriptwriter from the Pavuna neighborhood in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro. He began his comedy career in 2020 and has since become a viral figure on social media, building material around his own experience as a Black comedian from Rio's periphery. His routines address everyday life in Pavuna, including police encounters and the challenges of pursuing a career in entertainment from a peripheral neighborhood. Within five years he accumulated more than one million combined followers on Instagram and TikTok, over ten million likes on his content, and close to 100,000 YouTube subscribers, with videos totaling around 20 million views. He has performed as an opening act for established Brazilian comedians including Rodrigo Marques and Thiago Ventura. He is regarded as one of the notable new names in contemporary Brazilian stand-up and has spoken publicly about the lack of representation for Black comedians from Rio's peripheral neighborhoods in the entertainment industry.
