About João Pimenta
Joao Paulo de Oliveira (Pojuca, 9 October 1990), also known as Joao Pimenta or Joao Seu Pimenta, is a humorist from Bahia. Since 2021, he has been part of the cast of Porta dos Fundos, in addition to performing stand-up comedy shows and producing videos for the internet. Joao grew up in the city of Pojuca, in the Metropolitan Region of Salvador. He began performing comedy in 2005, when he joined a social project in the city.
In 2011, he created his YouTube channel, which today has more than 846 thousand subscribers. The first character created by Joao that became famous was "Pe de Pranta", which demystifies the stereotype of black people and favela residents. Joao Pimenta also became well known for videos in which he redubs famous film productions, such as Game of Thrones, and for cooking recipe videos titled "Larica do Odio".
In 2020, Joao was selected through a selection process at the production company Porta dos Fundos and, in 2021, he joined the main cast. The sketch Sudestino, in which he took part, was a great success in 2021. He also joined the cast of "5x Comedia", an Amazon Prime original series produced by Porta dos Fundos. Seu Pimenta also performs stand-up comedy.
