About Yannick De Martino
Yannick De Martino started in comedy in 2010 on the televised competition En route vers mon premier gala Juste pour rire, and a year later he won it. Appearances followed at the Juste pour rire galas, at Zoofest and at ComediHa! Fest-Québec, where he was named Révélation de l'année, and further afield at Marrakech du rire.
His first solo show, Les dalmatiens sont énormes en campagne, took his French-language stand-up on the road across Quebec, turning his own worries and everyday setbacks into material. Roasts and routines about breakups and exes are a regular part of the sets he shares online.
Beyond the stage he co-wrote the web series Les Prodiges with Julien Lacroix, later carried by ICI TOU.TV, and acted in Prière de ne pas envoyer de fleurs, in Like-moi ! on Télé-Québec, in Top Dogs: Homicides and in Splendeur et Influence; his first film role came in Mon ami Walid. Podcasts are the other constant: he co-hosted Ça ou ça with Mehdi Bousaidan and went on to Tout le monde gagne with Jo Cormier, and the Gala Les Olivier has nominated him both as a newcomer and for a humour podcast.
