About Vojtěch Záveský
Zavesky works under the name Vojtaano and moves between two rooms that rarely share a performer: the music stage and the stand-up stage. Born in Litomerice in 1983, he moved to Prague after grammar school and began writing songs that cut across hip hop, blues, reggae, ska and punk.
The song Lavina, which became the main theme of the web series Vysehrad, is what first carried his name beyond music audiences, and Budulinek vs. Galantni Jelen followed. His albums include The Best of Vojtaano, 2020, Do trojky and Stastnej.
In comedy he is one of the regular performers on Na stojaka, the Czech stand-up programme. He has taken acting parts in series such as Vinari, Ulice and Kriminalka Andel, and for the feature Vysehrad Fylm he both appeared and wrote the music.
