Anne Roumanoff
About Anne Roumanoff
Anne Roumanoff (born 25 September 1965 in Paris) is a French comedian and actress. Her early passion for the stage took shape when she attended her first theater school at the age of 12, and she later graduated from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris. She built her reputation on the one-woman shows that made her a familiar figure in French entertainment.
Roumanoff started her career in the television program La Classe on France 3, appearing alongside Fabrice, Lagaf' and Jean-Marie Bigard in 1987. In 1991 she became part of the team behind the French TV show Rien a cirer on France Inter with Laurent Ruquier, and in 1998 she celebrated her ten-year career at the Olympia. In 2001 she lent her voice to Coco la bouche in the animated feature Rugrats in Paris: The Movie.
Her stage work continued to grow: in 2003 her show Follement Roumanoff had a 13-month run at the Bobino Theater in Paris before a tour through France and Quebec, and in 2007 she marked her 20-year career with Anne a 20 ans at the Theatre des Bouffes-Parisiens. From September 2007 she presented a comic forum on the news, On ne nous dit pas tout, within Michel Drucker's show Vivement Dimanche. She received the Globe de Cristal for Best One Man Show in 2008 and was made an Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters in 2015.
