About Ilyes Djadel
Djadel was picked up from the stage of Marrakech du rire, and what followed was an opening slot in Lille offered by Kev Adams. He joined the Jamel Comedy Club troupe and worked open mics before assembling a full show of his own.
VRAI, that first one-man show, opened at the Palais des Glaces in Paris in 2023 and later played the Olympia; W9 broadcast it. The material leans on the ground he grew up on, between Roubaix and Hazebrouck, and on the Catholic secondary school he attended, which became the sketch Le lycee catholique. He has also made the Djadel Show for YouTube, written the podcast series Lillarious, and acted in Nouveaux riches and Numero 10 before co-writing and starring in Tombe du ciel opposite Josiane Balasko and Fred Testot.
