About Nouhoum Diawara

Nouhoum Diawara, known as Noom, is a French comedian and screenwriter, born on 26 December 1978 in the 15th arrondissement of Paris. He was born to Malian parents and spent his childhood in the Crimee neighbourhood in the 19th arrondissement, then in Vaureal near Cergy in the Val-d'Oise. While a second-year law student at Cergy, Noom began in 2000 on the channel Canal+ as an intern, where he proposed program concepts under the direction of Kader Aoun.

He stayed there two years, which allowed him to take part in several Canal+ programs such as Nulle part ailleurs as well as several sketches of Omar et Fred or in the game Burger Quiz with Alain Chabat. These experiences encouraged him to perform on several Parisian open stages, and it was Kader Aoun, his former manager at Canal+, who contacted him again to be the opening act for the shows of Tomer Sisley and Jamel Debbouze. In 2007 he joined the troupe of the Jamel Comedy Club during the first three seasons, touring across Europe and then to Canada. From 2007 to 2008 he was co-author of the column of Fabrice Eboue in T'empeches tout le monde de dormir on M6.

In 2010 the film Le baltringue was released, in which he played a small role, and the same year he left the Jamel Comedy Club to act in the play Amour sur place ou a emporter, co-written with Amelle Chahbi and directed by Fabrice Eboue. In 2014 he made two appearances in cinema in two comedies: first the big success Qu'est-ce qu'on a fait au Bon Dieu ?, then Amour sur place ou a emporter, an adaptation of the successful play. He reprised the role of Charles in the sequels of Qu'est-ce qu'on a fait au Bon Dieu ?.
