Wally

Wally is the stage name of Lilian Derruau, who was born in Decazeville and started out in a duo.

The chanson courte is Wally's trademark: a song of only a line or two, sung to a guitar, that tells an anecdote or lands a joke almost before it has started.

Wally et Freddy was the duo Wally founded in 1981 with Freddy Ricci, and the pair appeared on the bill of the Printemps de Bourges in 1986.

His albums include Vivons intensément ! and Presqu'heureux on Boucherie Productions, À vendre on Polydor in 2003 and 99 chansons courtes seulement parce que 100 c'en aurait fait un peu trop in 2011.

Wally went solo in 1994 with a first show called Dernières chansons avant régime, and later shows include Deuxième démarque and Absurdités protéiformes.

Ma distinction is the theatrical solo Wally created in 2021, in which he tells his own story.

In Paris he has played Le Trianon and the Vingtième Théâtre, and he opened for Eddy Mitchell at the Olympia.
