About Christoph Sieber

Christoph Sieber is a German Kabarett artist, TV moderator, and pantomime-trained performer born on January 19, 1970 in Balingen, Baden-Württemberg. Since January 2021 he has hosted WDR's Mitternachtsspitzen, the longest-running Kabarett show on German-language television, taking over from Jürgen Becker. With a pantomime background from Folkwang and ZDF experience, he combines physical precision with sharp political commentary in his current solo program Weitermachen!

Sieber spent his childhood in Niedereschach, where his father was mayor for 40 years, and finished gymnasium in Villingen before studying pantomime at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen and training with Milan Sládek in Paris. In 1995 he completed his artistic final exam with his first cabaret program Abgeschminkt. From 2010 to 2013 he hosted the SWR monthly satire show Spätschicht - Die Comedy Bühne. From September 2015 to December 2020 he co-moderated 41 episodes of the ZDF late-night satire Mann, Sieber! alongside Tobias Mann; the duo was nominated three times for the Deutscher Comedypreis and won it once. In January 2021 he took over Mitternachtsspitzen on WDR. He has been honored with the Deutscher Kleinkunstpreis (presented in 2015 by Volker Pispers) and the Deutscher Comedypreis (2018), making him one of very few artists to hold both top awards. His current touring program is Weitermachen!, a meditation on what unites and divides German society.

Christoph Sieber is touring Germany with Weitermachen! throughout 2026 and into 2027, including dates in Halver, Wuppertal, Datteln, and Darmstadt (Centralstation), with tickets available on his website christoph-sieber.de, Eventim, Ticketmaster, and adticket. New episodes of Mitternachtsspitzen featuring Sieber as host air on WDR Fernsehen and stream on the ARD/WDR Mediathek. Archive episodes of Mann, Sieber! remain available in the ZDFmediathek.
