Daphne de Luxe

Daphne de Luxe (real name Daphne Haderlein) is a German comedian, cabaret artist and singer born in March 1971 in Kronach, Upper Franconia. She has worked as a professional stage entertainer since December 1991, making her one of the longest-touring female cabaret comedians in Germany. Marketed as the 'XL-Barbie from Upper Franconia', she built a stage persona that combines comedy, cabaret, live singing and improvisation, balancing self-deprecating glamour with sharp everyday observations. After training as a certified foreign-language correspondent, she realised that the stage was her true profession and has been on the road ever since.

Daphne de Luxe's breakthrough came in July 2009, when she finished second in the NDR Comedy Contest finals. In 2013 she swept several major comedy and cabaret prizes: she won the Stuttgart 'Comedy Clash', the Kelkheim comedy prize 'Thron der Nachtrevue' and the Datteln cabaret prize 'Das Dattelner Nachtschnittchen'. In 2015 she took the bronze medal at the Kabarett-Bundesliga. Her first nationwide TV exposure came in September 2014 with an appearance on the WDR comedy show 'Ladies Night'. She returned in 2018 and from 2019 onward took over moderation duties of 'Ladies Night' on a rotating basis with Lisa Feller and Meltem Kaptan, making her one of the recognisable faces of the format. On stage she tours four solo programs across Germany, Austria and Switzerland, currently presenting 'Artgerecht - Ein tierisch menschliches Programm', which runs from April 2026 through April 2028. Her live shows mix stand-up, character comedy and original songs, with ticket prices typically around 28 EUR.
