Fabian Köster

Fabian Köster (born 14 July 1995 in Bergisch Gladbach) is a German comedy author, comedian and reporter. He attended the Georg-Büchner-Gymnasium in Köln. According to his own account he began his comedy author career in 2009 at the age of 13. At 18 he appeared on Stefan Raab's television show TV total, after he had previously already performed at NightWash. At first he performed self-written poems at poetry slams, reaching the U20 final at the North Rhine-Westphalian slam championships each year from 2010 to 2012, and in 2011 reaching the semi-final in Hamburg as the youngest participant.

Köster first studied social sciences before aiming for political science studies in 2015. Instead, however, he began working as an author at the television satire show heute-show on ZDF. In October 2016 he appeared for the first time as an outside reporter in front of the camera, and in his first contributions to the show he was titled "Praktikant". Since October 2023 he has produced the podcast Schlag und Fertig together with the former footballer Jonas Hector.

On 1 November 2025 Köster appeared together with his heute-show colleague Lutz van der Horst on the show Schlag den Star, competing in a team against the comedians Bastian Bielendorfer and Özcan Coşar, achieving a historic comeback after losing the first nine games and winning the deciding 15th game along with 100,000 Euro. His awards include the Deutscher Fernsehpreis (2014, as a member of the heute-show), the Grimme-Preis (2025, together with Lutz van der Horst) and the Hanns-Joachim-Friedrichs-Preis (2024, together with Lutz van der Horst).
