Florian Hacke
About Florian Hacke
Florian Hacke is a German actor, Kabarettist, stand-up comedian and poetry slammer born on 30 October 1978 in Hanover. He trained at the Hochschule fuer Musik und Theater Rostock, graduating in 2003, and built his early career on classical theatre stages before moving fully into stand-up and poetry slam. His comedy is a hybrid of theatre craft and slam timing: tight, character-driven, with a strong autobiographical streak about being a father, partner and overworked everyday person. Over the past few years he has become one of the steady mid-card touring names of German Kabarett, regularly invited to TV showcases such as the MDR Spasszone segment of Verstehen Sie Spass?
After his Rostock acting degree, Hacke was a permanent ensemble member at Theater Luebeck from 2003 to 2009 and performed in more than 40 productions, then worked freelance at theatres in Luebeck, Hamburg, Hanover, Kassel, Kiel and Berlin. In 2011 he played the Stasi character Fritzsche in Udo Lindenberg's musical Hinterm Horizont at the Stage Theater am Potsdamer Platz in Berlin. He turned his theatre experience into a parallel comedy career, writing his first solo programme Hasenkind du stinkst in 2017 about his time as a father on parental leave, which premiered in Luebeck and won several Kleinkunst prizes. From 2022 to 2023 he toured the follow-up Nichts darf man mehr!, and in 2023 he premiered his current programme Happy End. He won the Hamburger Comedy Pokal jury prize, the renowned Schwarzes Schaf vom Niederrhein and the St. Ingberter Pfanne, and was Schleswig-Holstein state champion in poetry slam in 2018 and 2019. He is part of the Hamburg Schmidt Theater ensemble and is booked by the Kaderschmiede agency.
Florian Hacke tours German-speaking countries year-round with his solo programmes Happy End and Nichts darf man mehr!, performing at Kleinkunst stages, comedy clubs, slam venues and Hamburg's Schmidt Theater Reeperbahn. Tour dates are published on florianhacke.de and via Reservix and ADticket. His MDR Spasszone set for Verstehen Sie Spass? is available on YouTube, and he posts everyday clips, rehearsal snippets and tour news to his Instagram audience of 37K at florianhacke.
