About Hans-Hermann Thielke
Helmut Hoffmann (born 8 February 1956 in Betzendorf) is a German comedian and Kabarettist who became known for his role as the postal official and average man Hans-Hermann Thielke. The North German was a pupil at the Johanneum Lüneburg from 1966 to 1972. He received his acting training in the early 1990s at the state-recognized Berufsfachschule für Clown, Komik & Theater at the TuT Hannover.
The figure of Hans-Hermann Thielke, which the comedian first played in the comedy program Ein Leben für die Post (together with Michael Genähr), gave rise to two of Hoffmann's solo programs (Jetzt rede ich! 2004-2007 and Jetzt oder nie!, 2008). The humorist gained renown above all through numerous nationwide television appearances in relevant programs from Quatsch Comedy Club through Mitternachtsspitzen to Verstehen Sie Spaß?.
The NDR also had a regular daily column with the comedian for a longer time, Post von Thielke (2007/2008), in its radio program. In 2011 he wrote the book "Wir haben Sie leider nicht angetroffen - Überleben mit der Deutschen Post".
