Jonas Greiner
About Jonas Greiner
Jonas Greiner likes to call himself Germany's greatest cabaret artist, a joke that rests on his height of 2.07 metres. He grew up in Lauscha, and his first short solo spot, in 2016, was at the Büttenabend of the town's carnival club. More carnival appearances followed, then a place in the final of the Grazer Kleinkunstvogel in 2017, and from there he began playing stages all over Germany.
Recognition came fast. In 2019 Olaf Schubert presented him with the Güldener August as newcomer of the year at the HumorZone festival in Dresden, and in February 2020 he took third place at the Hamburger Comedy Pokal, behind Jan van Weyde and Passun Azhand. His first solo programme, In voller Länge, premiered in October 2019, and since 2023 he has been on tour with the second, Greiner für Alle!.
On screen he has appeared in the NDR Comedy Contest, Olafs Klub on MDR, Roast Battle on Comedy Central and Luke! Die Greatnightshow on SAT.1, and live he plays shows such as NightWash and the Quatsch Comedy Club. Since 2021 his radio comedy has been part of the MDR Jump Morningshow. In his satirical series Greiner Wahnsinn he offered Harry Kane a transfer to the seventh-tier club SG Lauscha/Neuhaus during Euro 2024, and at the Bundesvision Comedy Contest that year, on ProSieben, he represented his home state and came fourth.
