About Jürgen Barz
Jürgen Barz was a German singer, guitarist, lyricist, and actor. He was a member of the comedy band Insterburg and Co. from 1967 to 1979, alongside Ingo Insterburg, Karl Dall, and Peter Ehlebracht.
Before joining Insterburg and Co., Barz had already performed as a duo with Ingo Insterburg, the two presenting what they called baroque love poetry. In 1968, the duo released an album of this material. Barz thus contributed both musically and comedically to one of Germany's notable comic ensembles of that era.
