About Ludger K.
Ludger K. grew up in Moers, and after his years in television journalism he put the media themselves at the centre of his first solo programme, RTL ist alles schuld!, which opened in 2008 with a title blaming everything on the private broadcaster. The programmes that followed trace how the act moved on: Hilfe, ich werde konservativ in 2013, Was Nietzsche ĂŒber Merkel wusste in 2016, then two in 2023, Orwell war ein Optimist! and Ludgers Welt, and Schluss. Aus. Sense. in 2024.
The German Wikipedia files his work as conservative Kabarett, a position the 2013 title had already announced with some irony. On stage he mixes stand-up delivery with political argument, and he is a regular at the Quatsch Comedy Club and at Die WĂŒhlmĂ€use, besides hosting a great many mixed variety evenings.
His awards include the Kabarettbundesliga in 2013, the Heiligenhafener Lachmöwe and a second place for the Pokal aus Frottee. Away from the stage he has written for Tichy's Einblick and has been heard on the radio station Kontrafunk.
