About Ole Lehmann

Ole Lehmann had a following in clubs before he had one in comedy: he started DJing at 16 and became one of the best-known DJs in northern Germany. His stage career ran on two tracks from the beginning. In Hamburg he appeared in musicals including The Rocky Horror Show, Grease, Eating Raoul and Titanic, while his solo comedy started in 1995 with So what!?, a show he later revived in new editions.

The programmes that came after include Reich und trotzdem sexy! in 2011, Homofröhlich in 2017, #Tacheles in 2021 and LĂ€uft, kann man nicht meckern in 2023. Audiences voted for him more than once: he took the first-place audience award at the Bremer Comedy Preis in 2008 and at Das große Kleinkunstfestival in 2014, and in 2014 he also won the NDR Comedy Contest.

Television brought both guest spots and hosting work. He appeared on Nightwash, TV total, Zimmer frei! and the Harald Schmidt Show, presented Quatsch Comedy Club shows and, from 2010, the newcomer showcase Talentschmiede. Away from the microphone he writes and directs: he has written for the AIDA ships and for Popclub on Pro7, and he directed Let's Twist and Kiez Diva.
