About Özgür Cebe
Özgür Cebe reached cabaret by way of the theatre. His first stage work was a placement at the Theater an der Ruhr under Roberto Ciulli, which also sent him on tour abroad, and he trained as an actor before going out on his own as a solo cabaret performer in 2009.
The solo programmes followed one another: Der bewegte Muselmann, Freigeist oder geistfrei?, Born in the BRD and Ghettos Faust, the last of which he also turned into a satirical slot on the radio station 1Live. Television audiences know him from the sketch show Was guckst du?! with Kaya Yanar, from the role of Güney in Lindenstraße, from several episodes of Alarm für Cobra 11 and from a set on Mitternachtsspitzen. On the German small-stage circuit he has collected a long run of prizes, among them the Kremenholler Kleinkunstpreis, the Dattelner Kleinkunstpreis, the Stuttgarter Besen and the Bottroper Frechdax.
