Peter Löhmann
About Peter Löhmann
Peter Löhmann's stage work grew out of magic as much as out of comedy. With his programme The Tramp he has performed in more than 30 countries, he has been a member of the Society of American Magicians and of the Magischer Zirkel von Deutschland since 1999, and in that same year he set a Guinness World Record for the fastest costume change.
The comedy comes as a long run of touring programmes, a new one roughly every two years since So lustig ist nur die Wirklichkeit! opened in 2000. Keine Zugabe arrived in 2005, and after it came Quickies of Entertainment, Comedy-Bang, Comedy Reset, Kopfkino, Meine Comedywelt, Pupsnormal and Friede, Freude, Eierkuchen! He was a finalist for the Swiss Comedy Award in 2001, and in 2018 he won the Mannheimer Comedy Cup and received the Kelkheimer comedy prize.
Based in Switzerland, he has hosted the television formats Der Dütschschwiizer, Visite and Zeigs mir, and has appeared on SRF 1, ARD and France 2. His writing includes the children's adventure series Die Abenteuer von Hugo und Raphael and a book version of Quickies of Entertainment published in 2006, and in 2021 he launched the podcast Comedi & Schoggi.
