Sebastian Pufpaff

Sebastian Pufpaff is a German stand-up comedian, cabaret artist, and television host born on September 15, 1976, in Troisdorf, North Rhine-Westphalia. Known to his fans as Puffi, he studied law and later political science at the University of Bonn before committing fully to comedy. In 2021, he became the host of the revived TV total on ProSieben, taking on one of the most iconic late-night formats in German television history - originally hosted by Stefan Raab from 1999 to 2015.

Sebastian Pufpaff co-founded the cabaret trio Das Bundeskabarett in 2004 and worked in RTL's news department between 2001 and 2008, sharpening his media instincts. From 2013 to 2021, he hosted Pufpaffs Happy Hour on 3sat, a long-running showcase for young and established comedians filmed at Berlin's Kulturbrauerei. During the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020, he created Noch nicht Schicht - a weekday satirical TV format on 3sat filmed from a home-office desk setup, for which he won the prestigious Grimme Prize in 2021. Since November 2021, he has hosted the revived TV total on ProSieben, delivering a nightly stand-up monologue alongside guest segments. In 2025 and 2026, he also hosts the spin-off TV total Stand-Up Club on ProSieben and Joyn, featuring Germany's top stand-up comedians. His comedy style blends anarchic satire, fast-paced media commentary, and sharp political observation.

Sebastian Pufpaff is primarily active as a television host rather than a touring stand-up comedian. His work can be seen weekly on TV total (ProSieben), available to stream on Joyn. The spin-off TV total Stand-Up Club returned in January 2026 with eight new episodes. Pufpaff does not run his own YouTube channel - his content is distributed through the official ProSieben and Joyn platforms.
