About Tahnee Schaffarczyk
Tahnee (full name Tahnee Schaffarczyk) is a German stand-up comedian and TV host born on April 4, 1992, in Kirchhoven, Heinsberg, North Rhine-Westphalia. Trained in classical ballet, modern dance, and jazz dance before turning to comedy, she made her television debut in 2011 at the RTL Comedy Grand Prix, where she finished in second place. She is openly lesbian and incorporates her personal life, identity, and relationships candidly into her stand-up. She lives in Cologne.
From 2016 to 2018, Tahnee hosted NightWash, one of Germany's longest-running stand-up showcase formats, succeeding Luke Mockridge in the role. Her first solo program "#geschicktzerfickt" toured from 2016 onward and was recorded live in 2019. Her second solo program "Vulvarine" toured from September 2019 through 2023/2024, addressing female body politics, personal metamorphosis, and self-empowerment through sharp, often taboo-breaking humor. A live recording of Vulvarine was released in 2020 on Amazon Prime Video. Since December 2020, she has appeared in the Amazon Prime Video format Binge Reloaded. In 2021, she hosted eight episodes of Tahnee.7 on ARD Mediathek, responding to current events with a comedy sidekick. From 2024, she co-hosts Die Quatsch Comedy Show on ProSieben alongside Khalid Bounouar - the continuation of one of Germany's oldest stand-up institutions. Her comedy combines confessional personal storytelling with feminist observation and sharp physical comedy.
Tahnee announced a new solo tour starting in 2024 after completing the Vulvarine tour. She regularly appears in live comedy formats including NightWash Live and Cologne Comedy Festival events. Her Die Quatsch Comedy Show co-hosting role on ProSieben keeps her visible on primetime TV. Clips from her programs are available on her YouTube channel.
