Anthony Bauer

Anthony Tony Bauer (born 28. Oktober 1995 in Dinslaken) is a German comedian. Tony Bauer has a Brazilian mother and never got to know his father. He grew up in the Duisburg district Marxloh, for a long time with his grandparents, who are the parents of his mother's first husband and not related to him. In 2004, when he was eight years old, he was admitted to hospital as an emergency with severe abdominal pain; a Darmverschlingung was diagnosed, which had caused large parts of the small intestine to die off through a lack of blood supply. Since then he is dependent on artificial nutrition, for which he constantly carries a backpack connected to him by a tube. A small intestine transplant in 2006 failed due to rejection reactions.

Bauer began a study of Psychologie but broke it off in order to become a comedian. Smaller appearances and participation in the format Night Wash followed, before he had his breakthrough at the 1Live-Comedy-Nacht XXL 2022. In 2023 he was a guest at the Kölner Treff on WDR, and in the following year he was on tour with his first solo programme Fallschirmspringer. With parts of his programme he appeared in the Sat.1 show Die besten Comedians Deutschlands.

In 2024 he also took part in the 17th season of the television show Let's Dance on the channel RTL, in which he reached seventh place with his dance partner Anastasia Stan, after withdrawing from the show for health reasons. At the beginning of 2025 Bauer was part of the jury in the 17th season of the RTL casting show Das Supertalent. In 2024 he received the Deutscher Comedypreis in the category Bester Newcomer.
