About Lorán Barnabás
Engine noise is the heart of Lorán Barnabás's act. He reproduces the sound of internal combustion engines with his voice and is especially fond of vehicles made in the former COMECON countries, and he goes by the nickname Trabarna. The skill brought him his first win: in 2002 he took the Trabant sound imitation contest held by Sláger Rádió, and a year later he was a guest on the Fábry Show.
For years comedy ran alongside an ordinary working life. From 1996 he spent eight years as a freight forwarder, then two years in telecommunications and a year and a half at a Hungarian IT development and manufacturing firm. In 2006 he was among the winners of the 5th Humour Festival of Magyar Rádió.
Television audiences know him from Esti Showder and Showder Klub, and on stage he is a permanent member of the Godot Dumaszínház.
