About Akim Bagil
Akim Bagil is an Indonesian stand-up comedian known for a highly physical, largely wordless style of performance that he has described as roughly ten percent talking and ninety percent acting out, drawing comparisons to pantomime. His sets have depicted activities such as playing billiards, flying kites, fishing and digging graves entirely through physical performance rather than dialogue, a style that has earned him a reputation among comedy fans as an underrated act worth seeking out. He performed at Stand Up Fest in both 2023 and 2025 and at the Jambore Stand Up Indonesia community gathering in 2024, and maintains an active following on Instagram under the handle akimbagil. In 2026 he took part in the pre-show round of Stand Up Comedy Indonesia (SUCI) season 12 on Kompas TV, one of 27 comedians who advanced from an applicant pool of nearly 2,000 hopefuls auditioning across four cities.
