About Babe Cabita
Babe Cabita came out of Medan, where he took a degree in public administration, and worked the open mic circuit before entering the third season of Stand Up Comedy Indonesia on Kompas TV. He won it in 2013, and the channel put him straight back on air as a co-presenter of the following season.
His delivery was unhurried and direct, with bold act-outs and a habit of dropping the tension with the line ahh, sudahlah, which audiences learned to say along with him. Television kept him busy after the contest: he judged the community stand-up league on Kompas TV, sat on the panel of Duel Super, and held his own segment, Apa Kata Babe, on Stand Up Comedy Club. He acted as well, in the films Comic 8, Epen Cupen The Movie, The Underdogs and Kapal Goyang Kapten.
