Giorgia Fumo

Giorgia Fumo arrived at stand-up with an engineer's training. She studied engineering at the University of Pisa and spent years as a digital strategist and marketing intelligence consultant, and she calls what she does on stage Data Driven Comedy. Improvisation came first: she took it up while at university, taught it and performed it in Italian and English, and won a competition at an improv event in Berlin.

Her stand-up began in 2019 and reached television quickly, with four consecutive seasons of Stand Up Comedy on Comedy Central, a spot on Il Giovane OLD on Rai 2 and a place in the final of Italia's Got Talent on Sky Uno in 2022. The material sets millennials against boomers and picks apart weddings, travel and diets. On stage she has presented La Repubblica Indipendente della Comicità at the Teatro dei Filodrammatici in Milan and Vita Bassa, which Comedy Central Presents featured and which toured Italy and several European capitals, followed by Out Of Office. She turned the same eye on grown-up life in the book Ingegneria della vita adulta, and her awards include the Premio per la Satira Politica di Forte dei Marmi and the Premio Antani.
