Ubaldo Pantani

Ubaldo Pantani (Cecina, 31 marzo 1971) is an Italian impressionist, comedian and actor. Originally from Querceto di Montecatini Val di Cecina and a graduate in political science from the Università di Pisa, he worked as a theatre actor in the company of Giorgio Albertazzi and later made his television debut in Gianni Boncompagni's programme Macao in 1997. He then alternated theatre and television, gaining space in Convenscion from 2000. In 2003 he took part in Nessundorma, a satirical programme on Rai Due hosted by Paola Cortellesi.

His career surged when he debuted as an impressionist in the series Mai dire... in 2004. Among the characters he played, notable ones include Gianluigi Buffon, Lapo Elkann, Francesco Sarcina, Massimo Giletti, Stefano Bettarini and Filippo Inzaghi. In 2009 he joined the cast of Quelli che il calcio e..., where he reprised the imitation of Lapo Elkann and created new characters. For the first time, in the programme Glob - L'osceno del villaggio on Rai 3, he imitated the journalist Marco Travaglio. From 26 maggio 2010 he was one of the comedians of Stiamo tutti bene, hosted by Belén Rodríguez. On 15 giugno 2013 he hosted the MTV Awards 2013 in Florence.

From May 2023 he was in the cast of GialappaShow, the new programme of the Gialappa's Band on TV8, where he imitated, among others, Bruno Barbieri, Filippo Bisciglia, Flavio Insinna, Massimo Cacciari and Bruno Vespa. From 15 ottobre 2023 he was a regular presence at the table of the talk show Che tempo che fa by Fabio Fazio broadcast on Nove. In 2026 he was one of the co-hosts, in the guise of Lapo Elkann, of the third evening of the Festival di Sanremo, alongside Carlo Conti and Laura Pausini, and in the finale performed imitations of figures including Massimiliano Allegri, Luciano Spalletti, Gianluigi Buffon and Flavio Insinna.
