About Yoko Yamada
Yoko Yamada is a stand-up comedian from Brescia, born in 1993, who has been performing in Italian since 2017. The act joins observational comedy with material on cultural identity.
Touring and television have widened that audience step by step. In late 2022 Yamada was one of three stand-ups, alongside Salvo Di Paola and Stefano Rapone, on Alessandro Cattelan's theatre tour Salutava Sempre. A year later came an audition for Italia's Got Talent in 2023, which Yamada carried through the semifinal and into the final. The first season of The Traitors Italia on Prime Video, in 2025, counted Yamada among its contestants, and in Il Baracchino, an animated Prime Video series built around stand-up comedy, Yamada is the voice of Tricerita, a punk triceratops.
