Alejandro Javier Fernández

Alex Fernandez is a Mexican stand-up comedian born in 1985 in Mexico City. After seven years working in marketing and the corporate world, he left his career behind in 2014 to pursue comedy full-time. He quickly became one of the most recognized voices in Mexican stand-up, best known for two Netflix specials and a long-running podcast that ranks among the most listened in Mexico.

Alex Fernandez gained early exposure on the Mexican TV show STANDParados, where he performed alongside other up-and-coming comedians. His first Netflix special, "El Especial de Alex Fernandez, el Especial" (2017), was filmed at a Mexico City theme park and covered topics like music, cheap toys, and the anxieties of growing up. His second Netflix special, "El mejor comediante del mundo" ("The Best Comedian in the World", 2020), expanded his international profile. He has also appeared in multiple Comedy Central Mexico specials across six seasons and was part of the first season of LOL: Last One Laughing Mexico on Amazon Prime (2018). Beyond stand-up, he hosted "El Podcast de Alex Fernandez," which ran from 2018 to 2021 and was one of the most listened comedy podcasts in Mexico. His comedy style is characterized by sharp sarcasm, personal anecdotes, and observational humor rooted in everyday Mexican life.

Alex Fernandez continues to perform live across Mexico and internationally. In 2025 he launched his stand-up show "Probando," touring venues in Mexico City, San Luis Potosi, and other cities, with additional dates planned in Spain (Teatro Apolo, Barcelona). His Netflix specials are available for streaming worldwide.
