Carlos Eduardo Rico

Carlos Eduardo Rico is a Mexican comedian, actor, writer, director, musician and composer born on July 12, 1971, in Mexico City. He debuted at age two in a sketch at Carpa Ofelia alongside the comedian Chupamirto, making him one of the few contemporary Mexican humorists with direct roots in traditional carpa theater. With more than 30 years of professional experience, he is known for translating everyday topics into accessible, family-friendly comedy.

Carlos Eduardo Rico studied Communication Sciences at UNAM and acting at the Instituto Andres Soler of the ANDA. He won the award for Best Comic Actor in a Musical Comedy for the stage production Que Rico Mambo and has performed in productions including En Busca de una Familia Feliz. On television he has appeared in Humor es... Los Comediantes (1999 to 2001), La Jaula (2003 to 2004), El Escaparate, Al Fin de Semana, the Televisa morning show Hoy, and the telenovelas Salome (2001 to 2002) and Cachito de Cielo.
