José Eduardo Derbez Rodríguez

Jose Eduardo Eugenio Gonzalez Martinez del Rio, born in Ciudad de Mexico on 14 April 1992 and better known as Jose Eduardo Derbez, is a Mexican actor. He is the son of the Mexican actress Victoria Ruffo and the Mexican actor and comedian Eugenio Derbez, and brother of Vadhir Derbez, Aislinn Derbez and Aitana Derbez on his father's side, as well as the older brother of Anuar Fayad and Victoria Fayad on his mother's side. He is the grandson of the actress Silvia Derbez and the nephew of the actress and presenter Gabriela Ruffo and the producer Marcela Ruffo.

His official presentation on Mexican television came on the successful children's programme TVO, hosted by his aunt Gabriela Ruffo, when he was only a couple of months old, as part of a surprise from the production for his aunt. His debut on television took place when he was small, playing a role in the programme Derbez en cuando within the sketch "De con padre" as Aaron Abasolo. In 2012 he made his debut as an actor in the youth telenovela Miss XV, produced by Pedro Damian, where he played Patricio "Pato" Fuentes Pedraza, the best friend of Alexis (Eleazar Gomez).

For late 2013 and 2014 he played Diego Armando Escandionda in the telenovela Que pobres tan ricos, which earned him the premio TVyNovelas in 2014 as best young actor. He also played Felipe Velasco in the telenovela Amores con trampa produced by Emilio Larrosa, and in 2016 he played Leon, the brother of Luciana, in Jose Alberto Castro's production Vino el amor. In September 2017 he debuted as a presenter of the morning programme Hoy under the production of Reynaldo Lopez, and during 2021 he was invited to join the hosting of the programme Miembros al aire on Unicable. On 30 de junio de 2024 he had his first daughter, Tessa Derbez, with his partner Paola Dalay.
