About Juan Amaro
Juan Amaro is a Mexican stand-up comedian and content creator from Merida, Yucatan, who built a fast-growing following through a refined, conversational comic style rooted in everyday Yucatecan life. Within just a few years in the local scene he became a viral figure connecting with audiences across the region, and he opened stand-up shows for established Yucatan-based comedians Tio Rober and Hugo El Cojo Feliz. He has headlined his own stand-up presentations in Merida, including a show at the Armando Manzanero theater, and appeared in the film Fantasmas in a role tied to his Yucatecan comedy persona. In January 2026 he was a finalist on Amazon Prime Video's comedy talent competition LOL: Buscando Talento, hosted by Eugenio Derbez, one of several Merida comedians who advanced through the later rounds of the show.
