Omar Moreno

Omar Moreno Estrada, known professionally as Omar Moreno, is a Mexican stand-up comedian, producer, and writer from Culiacán, Sinaloa. Before pursuing comedy he worked in an office and had an athletic background, having trained in football and tried out for the Atlas de Guadalajara club. He entered stand-up after a fellow comedian, Pancho Estrada, encouraged him to perform, debuting with an anecdote about everyday office life. In his home city he co-founded Universo 24, a collective of emerging comedians.

Moreno's comedy centers on observational reflections about adult and everyday life, delivered with critical and self-deprecating humor. He gained wider recognition under the nickname "El Señor de los Gatos" (The Lord of the Cats) after a video of him rescuing cats in the rain went viral; the adopted cats, collectively called "Los Plebes," became a recurring part of his social media presence.

With around eight years in stand-up as of 2025, he has toured cities across Mexico including Mazatlán, Tijuana, Mexicali, Mexico City, Puebla and Hermosillo, and announced plans to perform in South America and Spain in 2026. He also co-hosts the comedy podcast PURA CURA alongside Rodo Martínez, and maintains an active following on Instagram (@elomarmoreno), Facebook and TikTok.
