Dagfinn Lyngbø
About Dagfinn Lyngbø
Dagfinn Lyngbo (born 10 November 1972 in Askoy, Norway) is widely recognized as Norway's most popular stand-up comedian, with a career spanning more than three decades. He helped pioneer the stand-up genre in Norway in the mid-1990s and has since sold over 500,000 tickets across his solo tours. His comedy blends sharp observations of human behavior with physical comedy and a distinctly warm, energetic stage presence.
Lyngbo has produced a string of major solo shows: Ka e' vitsen? (2005), Evolusjon (2008), Stereo (2012), Supersmud (2017), Kjoreregler i forbindelse med koloniseringen av Mars (2020), and his current show Folk (2024). He has won the Komiprisen - Norway's top comedy award - more times than any other comedian in the award's history, with between six and eight confirmed wins. Outside stand-up, he is the voice of Sid the Sloth in the Norwegian-language versions of the Ice Age film series.
His 2024-2026 tour Folk takes Lyngbo on a journey through the world of people - joined on stage by his close friend and musician Bjarte Jorgensen. The show toured extensively across Norway through 2025 and into 2026, with performances at Oslo's Latter, Stavanger Konserthus, Kilden in Kristiansand, and Stormen Konserthus in Bodo.
