About Armando Angulo
Armando Angulo, born in Huancayo, has spent most of his career inside one character. As La Chola Cachucha he plays a typical woman from the Peruvian highlands, a figure he first put in front of passers-by as a street comic at the Parque Universitario in Lima.
Television picked him up in 1998, when he joined the main cast of El show de los cómicos ambulantes on Frecuencia Latina and took part in the sketch Cerro Amor with Bibi Wantan and Jhonny Carpincho. Later work brought him onto Perú tiene talento as an invited participant and onto Al sexto día as a recurring collaborator, and from 2018 to 2024 he was part of the comedy and music programme El reventonazo de la chola.
In 2024 he started his own comedy show for YouTube, El show de la chola Cachucha. His business interests are tied to food: he founded a country restaurant in the Lurigancho-Chosica district.
