Fabiola Arteaga

Fabiola Arteaga is regarded as a pioneer of stand-up comedy in Peru. She discovered her passion for comedy while working as a creative copywriter at an advertising agency, and left that career without a backup plan to become a full-time comedian. Her stand-up show "Humorbo", built on sex-education material from the organization Apropo, mixes comedy with lessons on sexuality and has toured Spain, Colombia and Cuba; she was invited to perform at the long-running Colombian festival "Los Mejores del Humor". Her other solo shows include "A Calzon Quitao", "Retocada" (about the pursuit of eternal youth), "Sexo Fuerte" and "Super Fa", which she has also toured within Peru, including to the southern city of Tacna. Beyond performing, Arteaga works as an actress, stand-up teacher and coach applying comedy techniques to personal development, continuing to write and perform her own solo material.
