Oscar Tito

Oscar Tito is a Peruvian stand-up and roast comedian from Lima who trained as a chemical engineer at the Universidad Nacional del Callao and worked in industries including irrigation systems and automotive glass manufacturing. During a professional internship in 2018 a supervisor suggested he try stand-up comedy, and after the pandemic lockdown he enrolled in a stand-up course, gradually building solid routines and an audience. He continued working as an engineer remotely while growing his stand-up and roast career, becoming known on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube under the handle "soyoscartito" for incisive, mockery-focused comedy. At 25 he publicly came out as gay and has said humor played a key role in that process. He has discussed his path from "closet comedian" to performer in appearances such as an episode of Renzo Schuller's interview show Schullerías.
