About Poper
Poper, whose real name is Christhian Garcia, is a Peruvian stand-up comedian who found comedy after a period of clinical depression, when he was advised to take a workshop to help him express his feelings. He began performing under the tagline "Stand up oscuro" ("dark stand-up"), building an online following on TikTok and Instagram, and won a comedy contest held at Lima's Teatro Canout. He took part in the dark-humor comedy segment "Gatada de vatos", winning two seasons of the format. Poper has toured and announced several solo stand-up shows, including "Tabula Rasa", a tour of Peru's provinces, and "Disfuncional". He also co-hosts "Frios Podcast" with fellow comedian Chapasa, and posts stand-up sets and podcast episodes on his personal YouTube channel, SoyPoper.
