Tuesday Vargas
About Tuesday Vargas
Tuesday Vargas came to Philippine television with a music background: she fronted the dance punk band Top Junk, whose singles included Babae Po Ako and Kuya Wag Po. On comedy programmes she played a range of roles on Lokomoko U, sat in as a guest co-host on Banana Sundae and later joined Bubble Gang. In 2010 the Aliw Awards nominated her in the female stand-up comedian category.
Hosting has been a large part of her work, from judging and presenting Talentadong Pinoy on TV5 to Good Morning Club, the Happy Truck ng Bayan and Happy Truck HAPPinas shows, All-Out Sundays and Face To Face Harapan. She has also taken dramatic parts in series such as Gulong ng Palad, Bituing Walang Ningning and Mga Mata ni Angelita.
On film she won Best Performance at the Golden Screen Awards for Ang Turkey Man Ay Pabo Rin and was named best supporting actress at the Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino for LSS (Last Song Syndrome). Here Comes the Bride is among her other film credits.
