About Vice Ganda
Vice Ganda, born Jose Marie Borja Viceral on 31 March 1976, is a Filipino comedian, television host, actor, singer and businessman whose stage name means "beautiful Vice." He is known for stand-up routines built on observational comedy, situational irony and sarcasm about Filipino culture and human sexuality.
He is a regular host of the ABS-CBN noontime variety show It's Showtime and has starred in three of the top ten highest-grossing films in Philippine cinema history.
Vice Ganda began performing as a singer and stand-up comedian at the Manila venues Punchline and The Library, taking minor and guest roles in television and film before wider recognition followed. Joining It's Showtime as a talent search contestant in 2009 broadened his popularity and led to his first lead role in the 2010 remake Petrang Kabayo, after which he headlined a run of box office hits including The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin, Sisterakas, Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy, Beauty and the Bestie and Gandarrapido: The Revenger Squad.
Nicknamed the "Unkabogable Queen" and "Phenomenal Superstar" by the media, Vice Ganda is described as the highest-grossing Filipino movie actor of all time, with combined film grosses of 4.6 billion pesos since 2022. His honors include two Asian Academy Creative Awards, a FAMAS Award, a Guinness World Record and a star on the Eastwood City Walk of Fame.
