About Sorin Pârcălab
Sorin Parcalab is a Romanian stand-up comedian born in 1981 in Marghita, Bihor County. He discovered comedy while studying Electronics and Telecommunications at the Polytechnic Institute in Timisoara, where he joined the OZN humor group. After relocating to Bucharest, he built a career as one of Romania's busiest touring comedians. In 2018 he co-founded Comics Club alongside Toma Alexandru, Cristi Popesco, and Sergiu Floroaia, establishing one of the country's key stand-up venues.
Sorin Parcalab has released three full stand-up specials: "Unde am Gresit?" (Where Did I Go Wrong?, 2023), his debut solo hour built around renting apartments, parenthood, and city life; "Sunteti Bogati?" (Are You Rich?, 2024) on ComedyBox, exploring wealth, bicycles, and churches; and "Accidente" (Accidents, 2025) also on ComedyBox, filmed at the Comedy Store in London. Beyond his solo work, he is a founding member of the Ceva Marunt comedy collective alongside Toma Alexandru, Cristi Popesco, and Sergiu Floroaia, known for group specials and a popular podcast. He also appeared on the Romanian talent competition "iUmor" and acted in the Kanal D comedy series "Strada Sperantei."
