Comedians born in Marghita

Marghita is a small town in Bihor County, in the northwestern corner of Romania near the border with Hungary. Set among gentle hills and farmland, it has long served as a local market and service centre with a mixed Romanian and Hungarian heritage.

Comedy in a town this size typically arrives through touring performers or cultural centre events, part of the wider growth of Romanian stand-up beyond the big cities. Marghita is linked to comedian Sorin Pârcălab.
