Archie Bezos

Archie Bezos is a Spanish stand-up comedian based in Madrid and one of the pioneers of LGBTBI focused stand-up comedy in Spain. He began performing monologues on Madrid's comedy circuit and co-created the label Humor de Transmisión Sexual (HTS) together with fellow comedians Albert Boira and Elsa Ruiz, an early banner for openly LGBTBI stand-up in the city. In 2013 he won the Madrid International Comedy Festival, which led to an invitation to represent Spain in Laugh Factory's inaugural Funniest Person in the World competition, staged between Hollywood and Las Vegas, where he placed fifth in 2014. He has recorded stand-up sets for Comedy Central Spain and performs regularly at Madrid clubs including La Chocita del Loro and El Golfo Comedy Club, where his solo shows Soltero Crónico and graciOSO have been part of the regular bill. His material, delivered under the online handle Humorphobia, is built on frank, sexually explicit observational comedy about relationships, body image and gay life, mixing personal storytelling with a fast joke rate.
