Chema Trueba

Chema Trueba made his name in Spanish radio, where the knack for impressions he had shown since childhood found a daily audience. He began with Emisión Imposible, a daily humour programme on Onda Occidental, then worked as an impressionist on Atrévete, the Cadena Dial wake-up show, and contributed to the morning show Anda ya on Los 40. Later stops included the night programme Cinco Lunas on Punto Radio, the morning show Levántate y Cárdenas on Europa FM and a co-presenting role on Las Mañanas Kiss at Kiss FM.

Television followed a similar path. He won Los irrepetibles, the Emilio Aragón programme on La Sexta, joined the team of Réplica on Telecinco alongside Carlos Latre, and became a scriptwriter and occasional contributor on El hormiguero on Antena 3. On stage he launched Soy el que más sabe de improvisación del mundo, a title that boasts he knows more about improvisation than anyone in the world, a two-hour live show that mixed theatre, monologue, impressions and improvisation.
